I have several blogs on the free blogsite by Google. Can a Blogger blog get the amount of traffic and pagerank as a paid for blog and hosting? Is making a blog on Blogger worth the time you put into it?

It depends on you actually, on how you optimizes and SEO your blog. It does not matter what platform for blogging are you using - it is how you manage your blog well to be ranked and given authority by Google.

I don't think blogger can - I think Google has disabled it too much in search. We've noticed that by moving from Blogger hosted blog to WP on our domain, traffic has gone up significantly. WP is far superior, and blogger has too many issues.

You can still make money using a fre blogging platform. Although it may be a little harder at times due to that fact that it is on a well known free platform.

Yes Google seems to favor blogger even if they claim they don't, but IMHO you should diversify your sites, some blogger, some your own hosted wordpress(the good ones being on the latter). The problem with blogger is you really have no control, Google does, and that's not a good place to be.
