Why Do You Guest Blog?

Instead of bumping up a 2-4 year old thread on guest blogging, I'm re-creating one.
Webmasters/Writers guest blog for different reasons.

There are the webmasters that only cares about links who ask the site owner to publish their free content in exchange for a link back.
While there are webmasters that prefers to write and get known by blogging at a well-known website (leaving their real name behind).

So, why do you participate in guest blogging?

It's important part of promotion. For example, if one famous and successful blogger place the article about your business/service in his blog, it'll attract more potential clients to compare with advertising, because it seems like respected author approves your service/business/etc.
