Thread: Long Blog Post Vs Short Blog Post

A blogger needs to work out what length post suits their writing style and blog topic making sure the posts are to the point. Are long blog entry better than the short blog post?

What is the average length of your blog posts?

Usually - an ideal blogpost should be around 500 words - and over.

Depends on what do you blog for -

If you just wanna open a blog for hobby - you can do as you wish. But if you want to be a serious blogger - you must write serious blogposts too with lots of authentic and quality information to attract new readers and retain the present readers.
In that case - your post will automatically be just the length ideal for it. No need to ponder about anything - just business as usual.

Yeah I agree with jjhnrang. Its all about content and make it short and sweet. :)

Long blog posts are much more likely to be linked to a lot more content and hence, a better chance that someone will find something on your page interesting enough that they want to share it with other people. The downside of short blog posts is that there needs to be real content on the page to encourage people to link to the article especially when it comes to authority websites. I think that it doesn't matter if the blog contain good contents.

I usally write long posts because it has more opportunity to place keywords.

the length of the contents about the post is not the point . the key is the quality of the content and the keywords are placed to attract people .
