Writing on Google blog, Google employee Jon Perlow has on several occasion including one late night email where he contacted his ex-girlfriend asking her to let them get back together and on another occasion when he sent a text message to a girl he had a crush one.

The above anecdotes which Mr Perlow seem to regret inspire him to create and application that could help others avoid the embarrassments he has endured. The application called Mail Goggles can be set to challenge you when using your emails late in the evening or at weekends just to double check that you really wanted to send the email and that you are sober and thinking straight.
