Starting Photography business
Many of us has camera in our home and make our hobby or passions to capture precious moments of our life, for examples taking pictures of weddings, senior school, family, babies, traveling and wildlife etc.
Do you ever think to adopt this passion or skills as profession to earn some extra money? IMO a good photographer can turn his love and passion for children, nature, wildlife etc. into a profitable home business.
Photography is among some of the professions that can be start from home by little capital. A proper photography business can be inaugurate from USD 2,000.00 to 50,000.00, depends on business location, equipments i.e. camera, lenses, filters, software and etc.
Some of the photography categories that can be opt is as following:
1. Model's Photo Portfolios - Helping models to build their profession portfolio.
2. Freelance Photography – Offer your services to your family members, family friends and people who are in your social network.
3. Pet Photography – some people like to capture their pet special activities for this kind look around your home.
4. Real Estate Photo Service – Many real estate companies/agents hire photographer to take snaps of their client’s home in creative styles that inspire the buyers.
5. Wedding Photographer – A special moment of life, every couple hire specialist photographer to make these moments marvelous and memorable for life. That’s why spend huge amount of money on this.
To learn more about the photography, my suggestion is to see how people working like on Facebook, Twitter, online business sites etc. Moreover, you can upload your pictures on your blog or other social networks; this also helps to grab the leads.
Remember, quality is a key in a photography business to avoid your photos being rejected; clear, bright photos are a shoe-in.

Basically, photography portfolio is a good way of attracting prospective clients. Also, being a freelance photographer you're probably going to end up specializing and building your brand name within a certain area.
As a result, it makes logic that your photography portfolio concentrates on the field of photography that you're well known for (or passionate in becoming renowned for). Of course, if you're a freelance photographer who deals mainly in wedding photography but you have an on-line portfolio filled of pictures of landscapes it isn't exactly going to help your case much, don't you think?

If you have a gift for photography and want to run your own enterprise, consider opening a photography business in your home. It is simple to do, and you can bring in a steady income while only working part-time.
1. Choose your specialty. Decide what type of photos you most enjoy taking. Your choices include fashion photography, wedding photography, portraiture or stock photography.
2. Organize the business. Write a business plan as well as registering your business with local officials and setting up a bank account exclusively for the business. Talk to an accountant about the advantages of incorporating.
3. Take out insurance. This is especially important if you are going to have clients coming to your home to take photographs.4. Buy the necessary equipment. You will need cameras, tripods, lights, lenses, backgrounds and any other equipment. Find a reliable supplier that you can continually use as your business grows
4. Set up pricing information. Check out other area photographers to get an idea on how much you should charge for your photos. Keep prices low until you gain a larger client base.
Good Luck My Friend!!!!

Perhaps I'm in a sour mood today and feeling uncharitable towards photography as a hobby and as a profession.
