Thread: USB 3.0 is here

USB 3.0 has 3 advantages over 2.0: faster, less power consuming and backward compatible. Hp and Asus already sell notebooks with this technology, Seagate and Western Digital launched BlackArmor 110 USB3.0 and My Book 3.0 upgrade kits for their external hard-drives.

Could be an advantage for you if a notebook uses USB 3.0 instead of 2.0, would this make you consider buying the faster one? I mean, would you spend 20$ plus only for this difference?
