Free or Paid Antivirus Software?
Do you own free or paid antivirus software? Most of the time, the more money you put into things, the better, however with antivirus I don't see this as being the case. A lot of the more expensive virus software (e.g. Norton) I have found to be, quite simply, awful. On the other hand, other software like AVG, I have found to be really good.
So, what are your views on free / paid antivirus?

AVG free is quite good although it does not work for servers.
Enterprise based antivirus solutions work quite well and are more prowerful than free solutions ie Microsoft's ForeFront Antivirus, antispyware, antimalware tool.
I did use AVG for some time however ForeFront is very quick to run and works really well! Hardly uses any system resources most of the time! :P

Sounds interesting... I think I might check out ForeFront, especially considering it combines Antivirus and Antispyware. I think AVG has AntiSpyware but it doesn't seem to work very well.
Oh, and how do you mean 'more powerful'? Faster scanning?

I use Avast, it is good and with quick and small updates. Try and experience the difference.

I like to use free anti-virus software at first. AVG was really a good choice at early time. But then I don't know why my computer was still be infected virus.
Then I change to a paid anti-virus software: Kaspersky. I have used it for almost 2 years and my computer runs well until now.
I don't use many anti-virus software to make a general conclusion that which is better, but from my experience, I choose paid one.

I own paid software, Kaspersky. Doesn't mean I paid for it though ;) haha.
No, really. It's a good piece of software, however Avast is pretty good.
