Set up a generic dating domain name?
I aksd this very question a few days ago because I was wondering the best approch to setup a new dating site. My Idea is to use a non specific dating domain and use sub-domains for specialised niches. Sub-domains will obviously help me cut down on domain name costs. Each sub-domain would be promoted as a seperate entity. My worry is it may be seen as a general dating site rather than niche specific, what are your thoughts

Ken,
I think you idea of a generic dating domain which you then use its sub domains or even sub pages to set up niche dating site make a lot more sense than buying dozens of different domain names and setting them up for various niches.
I have done exactly the same with my domain imyours.co.uk . In the sub domain and sub pages I have sent up various niches such as mature, dating, regular dating and I also have a forum on the domain.
Its much easier to manage and promote than multiple domain names.
