How to build a dating site starting from a CMS

These days, many of the CMS or blogs comes with lots of plugging available in order to turn your site in a perfect dating site. There are many people saying that is not the perfect solution, ecc, ecc. But I will say just one thing. If you are beginner and if you want to start with a minimum investment this is the right solution. Using a solution like this will make your user database simpler; you will have a unified database for website and dating site. If you are not considering this important talk to a programmer about the possibility to move users between databases and you will see what they answer.

These days there are 2 big open source codes used worldwide: Joomla and WordPress. I talk about only these two because this two have the biggest support available. If you want to use Joomla here are a few extensions: Love Factory, JooDDa and many more available on the internet through a simple Google search. If you want to use Wordpress, you should try: Wordpress Dating Plugin (not free), unfortunately the demo available is not very eye catchy, or BuddyPress, that is a suite of WordPress plugins and themes, each adding a distinct new feature. Of course that this is a social plugin, but it can be use in order to obtain a more powerful dating site.
