Bounce rate on dating sites
Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Bounce rate percentage is used to measure visit quality. A high bounce rate is an indication that your home page, or whatever page your searches are directed to, are not relevant, or, are not interesting to your visitors, therefore they "bounce."
This are some factors that can help you to improve your bounce rate:
1. Write great content that is relevant to what your audience is searching for. Utilize keywords effectively by doing some research on what keywords are drawing traffic to your site, then utilize them in your page titles, post titles, post-slugs, and content.
2. Utilize internal links within your content. If your audience got to your site for a specific search – but the content doesn’t match – having some links to topics that are related can help retain your readers.
3. Auto-generate related posts based on tagging or keywords.
4. Study the visitors click overlay made by Google Analytics to see in what the visitors are interested.
5. Redesign your website to me user friendly.

I think simple things like putting button on the right or the left of a page can also have huge effect on bounce rate, for example I read about an ecommerce site that move its shopping cart from the left to the right of the page and its bounce rate went down. So position of your call to action button is essential.

Definitely when the bounce rate go high one of the things need to be done is to analyse the behaviour of the users on the index page, the click rate on the page, what the users click and where this buttons are. So the rearrange of the homepage is definitely a solution.

Another solution will be to show the high bounce pages to your friends or even colleagues. Ask them what they find annoying on that page or useless. Listen to what they came out with carefully, take note, analyse. If you think there is something common most of them are saying implement it and see if there is a change in bounce rate. Usually others can analyse better that the owner of the web page the week points.
