New looking for niche dating site - free back sought

We have a niche dating site targeted at singles who live in the countryside and singles who love horses, its called Horse Lovers Dating. Our original design has been online for just over a year now, we have decided to refresh the site with a new look. We went for a slightly Web 2.0 style design, we got rid of all the clutter that was on the old home page and we change the main picture from that of a woman on a horse to that of a woman relaxing in what we hope will give the impression of a countryside.
Please see the images below, its labeled the new horse lovers dating and the old horse lovers dating. Your feedback about the two design is very welcomed, do you think the new design is better than the old or do you prefer the old to the new?
