Online dating site, how do you charge members?

I was asked by a guy who is new to starting an online dating site how I determine how much to charge my site members, I did not have a good answer so I though if create a post on how online dating site owners come about pricing for their dating site we may see a pattern that could help our new webmaster friend. So the question is, how do you determine what to charge you dating website members? Personally I just look at the leading sites in the niche I am after and set my prices to be slightly lower than theirs, what is your method?

well i've got a couple of dating sites that i created through diy-dating.com and they have all the payment stuff included and for every member that pays you would get about 88% of the money each upgrade. hope this helps just get in touch if you have any questions

I would indeed also have a general look around what other people in the niche charge and base my charges on that but indeed lower ofc :)

88% is a fantastic revenue share, is DIY dating UK based?

diy-dating accept uk and america and maybe more i dont know but definately those 2 countries.

Are they are UK based company? Do they pay on time? I use a company called White Label Dating, I wrote about white label dating in this blog post. Though the revenue split is 50/50. they give fantastic support and pay on time
