Nikon or Canon?

I was once told by a professional photographer that as a general rule, go for Canon in the sub £500 range and Nikon for anything over.

canon is better than nikon, i have canon cam with 14.2mp which is simply superb...

according to me both are the best, as they are competitors on the market if one produces a new version the other one also does produce a new version similar to that. so both are good products according go me.

Nikon produces some of the best digital camera but most of them expensive one. Canon has wide range of reasonable cameras.

i preferred using Nikon, which is very popular here in our place.

I'm using Nikon Coolpix P500 it has solid design, nice zoom and its shooting performance is also good. Overall this is a great Digital Camera.

Nikon would be my choice if you are going for a DSLR.. but for a normal digital camera there are many factors to take into consideration while selecting, and there Canon and Nikon compete well with each other.

For me, Canon is a good buy! Easier to use than Nikon, plus the features.
