Are all those directories dofollow ?
As dofollow links are more helpful from seo point of view.

I have kind of a list as well, but unfortunately their page rank is not sooooo high though.

I will soon update this list with the huge list of directories.

Great thread and very informative for me, I am just starting to list in directories in the u.k and this helps a lot. I would appreciate it if anybody has a list of directories in the u.k if they could pm me the list or include it in this thread

There is lots of submission directory just search in your local Google.
