Domain extension and SEO
A lots of people believe that .com domain name is more SEO friendly than other domain extension. Domain name extension did not have anything to do with SEO, in as much as you have a good name that is SEO friendly. Moreover, .com domain name extension is a general name for commercial purpose, it sell better and well known by almost everyone that know about internet. That is why people think it is SEO friendly, either .com, .net, .org, co.uk, .us,.uk.com... all the extension have equal chance of SEO and ranking in search engine.
The most important think is the name and not the extension, the shorter the name the better it is for SEO.

Not all the time it is applicable if I may say. Though I'd agree that the name is important however a name with an inappropriate extension is something awkward. For example, if you are an organization dealing with recyclable materials. Naming it recycling.com wouldn't be more appropriate that recycling.org. Thus extension is also important.
The second part as well do not stand a strong point. There are exceptions like it's okay to have a lengthy domain name as long as it is totally relevant to what you offer as well as readable and easy to remember. Let's take for example the domain 100best-affiliate-programs.com, it's long, it's readable, it's relevant to what it offers making it easy to remember. Plus, in terms of SEO, the main keywords are there, 'best affiliate programs'.

there is no need to get a different domain extension for the sake of better seo, search engines dont really love .com instead of .co.uk lolz but its better to pick that domain which provide a keyword of your website criteria :) respectively

Hello friends,
Yeah.. Agree with luq..!! As many people have this kind of wrong impression in mind that domain name and SEO are related to each other..
I hope that by reading this it will be clear that domain name has nothing to do with SEO.
