Creating a descriptive domain name (URL) may increase your chance of getting a good page rank and more traffic.

In an adverse effective, a domain name that is too long or that does not contain enough information may not get a good rank or much traffic.

Keeping both the visitors of your site and the search engines happy is hard work so plan everything through before you buy your domain name and set-up your website.
