Has the .com era ended?

Now there are many domain extensions available and many of the sites are trying their luck with many, what is your opinion has the .com era ended or is it still the .com that rules the domain markets. Discuss?

I think if anything, the new domain extensions are making .com even more expensive, I don't care for those new mickey mouse domains, I want .com.

I would have to agree with Temi... .com's are what started and will always be the most desired. :) I would not be supprised if they were bumped up to $30-40.00/.com here in 3-5 years though..

.com is and will always be the number 1 domain extension IMO. :)

Com is not ended, and even isn't going to. Surely there are many newborn extensions, lk .me or .pro, but they would hardly replace .com. Only is all possible dotcoms would be unavailiable.

I personally don't care much for those new extension to be honest, though .com is saturated, you can always be creative and thousands of .com as also dropped every month.

.com is number 1. It will always be easier for people to find the domain they're searching for if it has the .com extension. Maybe at some point that will change but who can say when.
