Almost all the leading gadget manufacturers in the world have become more environment friendly though leading players still have some way to go before they can claim to be green according to Greenpeace, in a report presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Greenpeace compile the report after testing 50 most environment friendly electronic equipment submitted by about 15 manufacturers. The products were examined for use of hazardous chemicals, power consumption and recycling.
The highest-scoring product was Lenovo's 24in (61cm) widescreen monitor, it scored almost 7 our of 10. The lowest scores was recorded by Acer Veriton desktop computer at 3.3.
