Thread: Football Manager 2010 launch getting close

There are only few weeks left till the launch of the new edition of Football Manager 2010. I recently received an email talking about pre-order of the game, but I have not made any order yet. I will probably buy it from Steam, when its launched for good so that I am sure everything is allrigth.

Ill be getting it on the day of release for sure, i didnt play the last 2 as much as id liked but since i own a football manager forum im getting my addiction back lol. Cant wait for the release

What Football Manager forum do you own ?

i own http://fmdiscussion.com , alot of hassle when i first brought it with people thinking i brought it to make money from it but really it was just to add to my portfolio , but things have got alot better now ive got some great admins over there helping me out.

The funny thing is that my brother owns a similar forum http://fmbuff.com/fm-forum - he is a really big fan of the game as he created player photo packs and lots of stories.

thats cool, thats one forum i havent heard of before, there are alot of very very busy ones like , the gaffer, sortitoutsi and loswonderkids. My forum gets around 1500 uniques a day at the moment with an average of 60 members online in 24 hours.

To be honest its quite a hard niche to play with and get started into , ive seen about 6 new FM sites die with in the first 6 months because its hard to get people to move sites.

Your forum has nice numbers, but I am sure the numbers will grow after the launch of the new game.

Yes, it is a tuff niche to play on since there are a lot of competitors and a many got accomodated in some forums.

Yeah we are expecting it to grow another step once the game is out , i cant wait for the game or the site to get better.

Your brother should announce him self around the scene , alot of smaller FM sites have a section on their site called FM Scene where new sites can announce them selves and do regular updates etc, my forum has recently got rid of this section because we are working on a directory style links and rating system instead. However there is still loads of sites that do it, although your brother will have to add a scene section to his site for other sites to advertise too. This is a great way to get new members for new sites.
