About 37,000 runners, 3,000 or so short of the 40,000 that took to the streets of Paris last week are running the London Marathon today.

David Weir won the men's wheelchair race with a time of 1:32:23, equalling Tanni Grey-Thompson's record of six London marathon victories.
Britain's Shelly Woods won the women's wheelchair marathon almost three minutes ahead of the pack.
More than 100 people will attempt to break world records during the race.
The Guinness World records said attempts included the record for the fastest marathon on stilts.
Sunday's race, which remains the world's largest annual fund-raising event, is the last chance for elite British runners to claim a place in this summer's Olympics.
Only one man, Scott Overall, has so far qualified for Team GB and he is the official London Marathon pace maker.
