Blackberry usage
Blackberry usage
Do you own a blackberry ? How do you use it, if you do ?
I own a Moto Q11 and I find many of its features quite interesting and useful. The 3MP camera helps me take photos whenever I need to and I do not have my SLR camera with me. And the images are quite good. I also use the email options, I can read my gmail directly on my phone and answer fast due to the qwerty keyboard. Flashligh, Media player and the calculator are also very used functions of it.

Hello
I own a blackberry device, native from the RIM. It's branded Vodafone. Blackberry 8310.
It's the best phone/smartphone I ever own and I have. First of all it has Push Mail. If you have in your company a push mail server or you use the push mail of your provider then the email it coming instantly in your inbox. Even if you have a 5 MB traffic subscription this is more that enough for the emails, because in the push mail protocol the traffic used is minimum.
I use it also for a 24h connection to IM like Yahoo and Gtalk.
The battery life is huge. One of the bigest plus of this device is that it use a mini usb connection for data/charging So if you have a mini usb- normal USB cable you can charge it even from your computer/laptop. Also for the car charger, a simple usb car charger is enough.

A new usage tracking application from Matsch Systems called MobiNow is available that is a turnkey software as a service platform for tracking BlackBerry usage independent of the carrier. The software also takes advantage of GPS optionally.
The application generates a background cellular call record for each call and text message and at user-defined intervals; it uploads the record along with GPS data if wanted. This allows businesses to monitor corporate devices for abuse and keep track of employees.
"Generating carrier agnostic, real-time call records directly from the BlackBerry provides managers timely access to critical workforce management information useful in analyzing performance, customer support, and client billing," says Bob Matthews, chief executive officer, Matsch Systems, "but it is the turnkey implementation of the SaaS based application that makes it sweet. Simply install the applet on a BlackBerry and you are immediately in operation."
