Thread: Which of the social media site is good best for SEO link building?

Many SEO use different social media site for link building, some of the sites frequently used includes Squidoo, Facebook, Twitter etc. From your experience, which one of the social media site is best for SEO link building?
Also, which important social media sites did I leave out?

Optimizing for Social Media (SMO) is almost the same as the search engine optimization (SEO), the difference is that it's optimization not for search engines, but for social networking and blogs to attract traffic from there to a web site or form a community of interest within social network.
From this point of view the optimizer uses other means, including creation of interesting "viral" content to optimize site for real people.
The effectiveness of SEO and SMO also differs. Video service YouTube has on average more than 10-12 thousand pageviews conventional for English videos older than 6 month. It's much harder to achieve the same amount with SEO that is available for SMO-professionals who are using "word of mouth" in their blogs and social network accounts.

Well I know some of the good social media websites myspace.com, yelp.com, delicious.com which may be good from SEO point of view.

I think facebook is the good good scial media network for link building...

Facebook is still good but there are some adjustment that we need to do because of its strict feature. We're now trying to explore Google+.

twitter is also good for link build. often when you fallow someone they will follow you.

Squidoo and Hubpages is great for link building..

But, most of the popular Social Media sites are no more do follow.. But, they do bring massive free traffic on your website, such as Stumble, Reddit, Digg, Traffup, Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, Hubpages, Squidoo, Youtube..

Facebook is the best social media site for promote the website or for business purpose.

Social Media sites are mainly used to bring traffic to the site. These sites are not so productive for SEO link building in comparison to other SEO off-page processes.
Among the given sites, Facebook is best, but it is up to the efforts you made to gain most of the benefit of every process(SMO). Google+ is also very beneficial now a days and help to achieve SERP ranking fast.

I use social media sites for traffic, not for seo.
