Link exchange is a method of increasing page rank and generating maximum incoming traffic. Link exchange is simply the exchange of your links with other sites. Every webmaster wants the maximum number of visitors coming to his site for obvious reasons; his revenue and site popularity both increase with the increased number of visitors.

Here are few suggesting of Don't of link exchange:

* Do not exchange link with non-related site.

* Do not exchange link with banned site.

* Do not exchange link with adult site, SEX OR hacking related sites.

* Do not put more then 30 links in a reciprocal link exchange page.

I have heard that google starts give penalties for any linkexchanges. They seem fight for organic SEO.

Well I have not a heard a thing like that. I am not sure but it must be a rumor.

The points you listed are all correct mate. No one should definity exchange links with a site that is banned or includes pornographic material

Well it's the same thing me thinks. If that website is linked with any adult sites, it means that the website itself do includes some adult content. I think that we shouldn't link with them. But it depends on you.;)

Footzila, but google really fight against that really... I believe most of web masters mask that for this reason
