A Step-by-step guide to uploading a video to YouTube.
YouTube needs no introduction any more, its by far the most popular video sharing website on earth. People upload video to YouTube just to share something the find interesting, educative or down right funny.
If you are trying to upload a video to YouTube and need some hand holding, we hope this brief tutorial will help you. At the bottom of the tutorial, you will find various video file extension including the one preferred by YouTube and toll for converting video from one format to another.

Step 1: Login to YouTube directly via YouTube website
www.youtube.com or login via your Google webmaster tool login interface.

Step 2: Scroll over your username and select "My Videos"

Step 3: Scroll over "New" and select "Upload"

Step 4: Select the "Browse" button under the Video File Upload header.

Step 5: Find the video you want uploaded and select it.

Step 6: Select the "Upload Video" button

Step 7: Wait for video to upload and select "Save Changes"
Title + Description: Remember to enter a suitable title and description
Tags: Remember to select appropriate tags that suit what you are uploading (for example, 'rock' 'music' 'bandname' for a rock music video)
Category: Select the category most appropriate for your video (I chose "Music")
Privacy: Either select "Share" or "Private" depending on the amount of exposure you want for your video

Step 8: Now repeat Stage 2 and open "My Videos" again

Step 9: Your video should now appear, uploaded!
Video Formats Allowed:
- Windows Media Video(.avi)
- .3GP (cell phones)
- .AVI (windows)
- .MOV (mac)
- .MP4 (ipod/psp)
- .MPEG
- .FLV (adobe flash)
- .SWF (shockwave flash)
- .MKV (h.264)
If you do not have your video in one of these extensions, or just wish to change file type, Youtube recommends "FFMPEG" as the software to do so.
