Thread: Craigslist to remove erotic ads section

Craigslist is one of the unsung giants of the web this days, it has even overtaken MySpace in terms of number of visitors it attracts daily. Its just a classified advert website but its doing very very well.
One particular section of craigslist that has been popular all over the world is its erotic advert section. People who want to meet for dating or erotic services tends to us this section but so do prostitures. Its the prostiture use of this section that has been getting craigslist the wrong kind of attention recently. A 23 year old man use the section to meet a 26 year old prostiture which he later killed, this lead to craigslist being sued.

The CEO of craigslist has finally agreed to pull the plug on the erotic advert section and replace it with adult services, a section he promise his staff will closely monitor than the old erotic adverts section.

i think all submission sites, should remove their adult section because, there are minors in the internet also, i think it's a good idea to reduce adult sites now :D

I don't think you should remove adult section of a site just because there are minors online, that is why the section is called Adults, its not for minors :)

Nothing wrong with it being online as long as the providing site has the resources to monitor and moderate it correctly.

yes, but still there are minors who are curious in seeing some adult stuffs so they need to remove it and make their site for minors also :D
