Google will ask users to pay a fee for watching TV series on YouTube
Google is negotiating with television networks to charge Youtube users for viewing TV shows or series, but without commercial breaks. This measure could be taken in order to increase Youtube's earnings.
YouTube users would pay about $1.99 to see an online episode without interruptions for advertising, a day after it's first broadcast on the television network. This way, Google would be a direct competition with Apple, which offers a similar service through the iTunes store.
Watching online series on Youtube would also bring higher revenues to television networks, who are used to launch their popular programs on DVD.
