Thread: Google and meta tags

Google recognizes that it not take in consideration metatags keywords and description. I found it on their official blog.
Do you still use this tags? What for?

They do not use the meta keywords nor meta description for quite a while now. I use meta description for CTR.

I'm still using meta tags as part of my basic seo but I'm aware that it will not help. I just used it to let me remember the keywords I will target for the specific page.

Yes, keywords, description and other tags still help you on other SE, like Bing, ecc

I disagree with you sir if you will not put meta tags in your site so how search engine will crawl your website

Some time meta tags are not so importance for Google. But other search engines like Bing, Yahoo give some importance. because your seo not for Google but also also recognize all other search engines.

Google is now ignoring all the keywords in the meta tags becuase some abused it

i use three of them whether Google.com prefer or not.
