Thread: Coldcalling

Have you every used cold calling to marketing a product or service successfully?
I was put of this method of marketing because of double glazing cold callers but it is however a legitimate marketing/sales technique, have you used it before?

Never used telemarketing...however I've been approached by a company this week and they tried to get an agreement with me.

I was wondering if it really works...

It could be useful as part of a marketing efforts, if the company can gurantee result, I think its an excellent was to grow a business

Cold calling is an important stage and technique in the selling process. Cold calling abilities are also useful in many aspects of business and work communications outside of sales activities and the selling function.

It's just one of many techniques that I've been using to gather leads. However, you shouldn't rely on it solely because it is not as effective as many other lead generation technqiues.Best to focus on targeted approach that would suit your specific clients.
