Thread: Best place to buy / sell domains and sites

I thought i'd write up a few links of sites where you can buy and sell domains, to give you new webmasters a good idea of the pros and cons of each.

1. Domain/Webmaster Forums

Pros: Lots of targeted buyers/sellers
Easy to pick up some good deals

Cons: Remember you are not selling to end users
Not as easy to manage as auction formats such as Ebay

2. Sedo

Pros: Good to find end users
Easy to manage system

Cons: Costs money to sell domains
Often takes a while to find buyers

3. Ebay

Pros: Easy to use auction system
Great to pick up cheap deals

Cons: Ebay often used for scamming as it is out of the domain industry circle
Small fee for every sale

i think this forum has its own market place section.... Post offers there... forums are a very good place buy or sell... just go to the approriate section....

Someone mentioned Digital point. I found that there are so many postings there that your offer quickly gets relegated to page 2 and 3.....

I think selling a domain name/website on webmasters forums is the best thing. No fees, lots of prospects. What could you wish more?

Are these dropped domain lists any use? The ones where domains are about to expire. The problem I've seen with searching this is the results google pulls back are lists on forums from weeks if not months ago. Are there any useful dropped domain lists websites worth looking at?

Dropped domain lists are worth looking at, but once you acquire it be prepared to do some marketing to get it ranked and push the forum lists down to several pages deep in Google
