To every people:

BE CAREFUL ABOUT INTERNSHIP-UK !!!

This is a message for all people are looking to make an internship with the people of internship-uk. THIS IS A BIG FRAUD!!!

This company, internship-uk offer you an internship in some of their companies in London and in New Romney (Kent). But they FORCED you to PAY a deposit of 100 pounds before you arrive to your position and WITHOUT REFUND POLICY.

But this is not the end... as soon as you sign the contract, you have to PAY a balance package of food, drinks, accommodation, bills, etc. of more than 2600 pounds (if you will be there for 6 months)!!

I warn you this to don't fall in his trap and denounce it.

They lie to me about the deposit. They told me that the have already this deposit from me. But I called to my bank and they didn't executed the transfer...

They didn't wanted me to know this and cancel the transfer. Finally they have my money and I can't take it back...

BUT THERE ARE MORE NOW:

Yesterday I received an email from this company telling me that I have to pay about 350 pounds in concept of administrative expenses and because of cancel my contract with them and hotel...

They say it because I cancel the process (and then, they had to cancel the reservation in hotel where I should be), the hotel couldn't rent one room in one week; so I have to pay this week of accommodation...

And all of this, I have to pay before Monday 9th. March. If not, they will take legal actions against me because of contract failure...

For sure, you are now surprised, like me this morning.

This is now so surrealistic. How they pretend me to pay if I had already cancel the contract this them and there wasn't any cancellation term where I should carry with expenses? Also, if I had already paid the 100 pounds (indeed, they finally have them...), why I have to pay again?

So, I had decided not pay attention on them anymore. All of this is a BIG CRAP! HAVE REALLY CAREFUL ON THIS!

I have to agree with sumotay, unfortunately. This applies to doing internship at internship-uk.com, gift-tours.com or studios92.com.

Money concerned there is no way to get a refund back in any way. You need to pay them for poor accommodation and facilities. If for some reason you have to leave earlier, no matter what happened or how good your excuse is, the money they receive from people who want to do an intern only goes one way: into the company and never back.

And I have to add something else to sumotays post:

If you are looking for a proper internship on a University level, please search elsewhere. The activities in the company come nowhere near level of professional or can't even be called university-worthy. Don't fall for their website. They promise you good things, but it is really poor.

They have many websites and they write fake hotel reviews pretending it comes from real hotel visitors. and they do much more things that disgust me. when you hear about it, you will feel the same like i do. they really deceive people online with their websites.

I feel sorry for everyone who has paid for internship with internship-uk/studios92 becase they can not leave and have to stick with lousy management and boss with no professionallity in personallity and current working environments.

oh..ps. Don't believe the positive blogs about studios92, gift-tours, internship-uk you find on the internet. It was all written by all of us (the interns) because we are forced to do it or we get warnings.

I have to stay here for only a few months. I am happy to the day that I can leave this unprofessional place.

Its good that more people think the same like my girlfriend and I.

Now I would like to say also other stupid and surrealistic email they sent me few days ago. They wanted to know why I am posting this warnings in webs and forums like this. And also they ask me to stop it, all this under insults to my person treating me like someone who don't have any more thing to do...

Come on!! Like if I am bored!! I am looking so hard for a job because of them. And also I loose money... DON'T TELL ME THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY MORE THING TO DO. What I am doing is warn and denounce this abused and REAL FAKE of company.

Please, be careful with this and like Jhans say, don't fall in their lies on their webs.

Come on. Even if you had nothing to do.

Internship-uk wants to control everything that is written about them. That is why their interns have to write PMA about them in blogs and anywhere. TO MASK THE TRUTH. They forget that the internet is a free world, and can sometimes be cruel if you don't play the game the right way. Sumotay, You have the right to warn other people of your experience on the internet.

Your experience with internship-uk happens to be a very bad one. They have to deal with it or change their services so that people will not complain: and NOT insulting you!

From this example:

Yes that is exactly how they work. You can immediately sense their professionalism. They are good at insulting and making you feel bad.

HELLO EVERYBODY
Internship uk is very nice, is very good, is perfect.
I love New Romney and the London office.
I love the New Romney's kebab, the sauces are so good mmmm..
I really like the streets at night without light, the morning in the office without boss and the afternoon in the kitchen without food.
In the hotel, office, and kitchen of the company I was like a starr, so many cameras, so many bodymen, so nice. Like a tv reality show you can not have secret, so excitng.
I really wanted to win, to improve my english, to work in a professional environment and gain practical work experience in real buisness company. I really wanted.
I didn't.
And now.
Who will be the PMA (Pay Me Asyouwork) King?
For me there is only one that should win, is the only PMA person. I am sorry for the others but they are not enough PMA and too much NMA (No More Animal).
I didn't win and he won, win and will win a lot of money.
I am not a star but I am free...

I am really glad that there are more and more people denouncing this. Today in my blog someone posted more information about this:

Here is a link (unicum.de/community/uniforum/karriere/14357-praktikum-bei-studios92-england.html) where some people tell the truth about working with Studios92 (one of the sub-companies of Internship-uk). And there are people from Internship-uk who tried to turn the topic of the thread into something positive!! Is in German, but maybe you can find a translator.

And here is also a link (everybodysay.hibrice.fr/2007/05/18/about-my-internship-at-studios92/) for a blog where the owner talk about the experience on Studios92.

Also yesterday a guy from my university contacted me via International Office to ask me about this internship. I am so glad that my university warn also to the people and refer me about this.

The work at internship-uk was horrible, it didn't make any sense..
And somehow, when doing an internship I expect to learn, and get the opportunity to learn from experiencing working within an organization. Somehow, management has a different perspective on the matter.
I was almost fired fired.. and one of my friends was actually fired because he did a bad job.. eh? isn't an internship supposed to give me hands on experience? I'm supposed to learn from my mistakes and all that?.. Guess not :(
Even more, the workload was so heavy and the quality of it was bad; I had to work in the weekends as well, so; 24/7 and without pay :(.. even better than outsourcing to India!!! :D. (Should definately learn from this.. good practice when giving companies advice on cheap labor).
The business manager and ceo also sucked, just act nice when they're around... but when they're not :).
All in all.. a good experience for everyone wanting to experience a place where you DON'T want to work!

Dear David,

We read the messages you keep on posting on several web site.

We were wondering why are you doing this. Nobody "forced" you to pay anything, it was your choice to come to the UK for an internship and you knew from the very beginning that you needed to pay for your accommodation. I can understand that you are bored and you do not have anything more important to do then posting your negative opinion on the web, but it would be appreciate if you stop doing this.

You are always welcome to join us for an internship

I you would like to contact us directly feel free to contact to our email.

I am still laughing about the last thing "You are always welcome to join us for an internship"

After this email, I replied with this email:

Hello,

I wanted to contact you about an email I sent you on Sunday 1st. of March.

There I exposed you some tasks to make about my personal data. I told you already that I wanted you to delete and erase all my personal data from your data bases and also every document that links me with your company.

Then I copied you the link of my acceptance letter where it was available jet. And now I realized that is still.

Please, with the appeal of the Spanish Law "Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal" (LINK) the article 16 about right of rectification and cancellation ("Artículo 16: Derecho de rectificación y cancelación"); and also the UK Law "Data Protection Act 1998" (LINK) in the Part II "Right of data subjects and others", I say:

"Using my right show in these Laws, I want to access to these data, ERASE and DELETE every document and data of my person from all your data bases and documents as soon as you read this email. This is not negotiable under these Laws."

Now responding to your last email. I am not doing this because I don't have anything more important to do. I am very busy looking for a job because this experience, and this is something that I really care to show all people that your selection process is not transparent so far. I wasted money and time on it. Money and time you make me to waste.

I want to show all people how you work on it (thing that is not show on your web or post in forums). I am "completing" the information you give to the people. Things that the people have to pay before going there and this company FORCED them to pay without know what are thay paying for, no refund policy and contract candelation terms are not clear and not show anywhere.

I am not living with this all days. Only if I arrieve to some forum or web and see this kind of posts advertising your product without telling ALL THE TRUTH, I will tell my experience on it an aware the people.

And after this email (and insist several times) they deleted my personal data and they didn't send me other email anymore.
