Install Microsoft Advertising Intelligence
This is the second part of the article about Microsoft Advertising Intelligence.
Install Microsoft Advertising Intelligence
To begin installing Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, do the following:
1. On the Microsoft Advertising Intelligence page, click Install Now.
2. If you are prompted to run or save the setup.exe file, click Run.
The installer file downloads and installs the prerequisite programs that are required to run Advertising Intelligence:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
- 2007 Microsoft Office Primary Interop Assemblies
- Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System 3.0 Runtime Service Pack 1
3. If you are prompted to accept Microsoft software license terms for any of these programs, click Accept. The setup wizard displays publisher information about the tool.
4. Ensure that Excel 2007 is closed, and then click Install. Microsoft Advertising Intelligence is installed. You are now ready to test your KSP server credentials.
Test your KSP server credentials
Before you can begin using Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, you must establish and test your connection to the KSP server, the storage center for all Advertising Intelligence data. All you need is your adCenter user name and password. You can skip this step now, but you will be prompted to test your credentials the first time you click any button on the Ad Intelligence tab.
1. In Microsoft Excel, click the Ad Intelligence tab.
2. Click the Options button.
3. Select KSP Server.
4. In the right pane, in the User name and Password boxes, type your adCenter user name and password.
5. To test your connection to the KSP server, click Test Connection. A pass or fail dialog box appears.
6. Click OK. Note: If your credentials aren't accepted or your connection fails, contact the Microsoft Advertising Intelligence team.
