it depends on the traffic the forum has..if you are active there and the forum has many members/visitors you might get some traffic.

While forum signatures are useful a person must not go only with this method. Along with niche related forum signatures go with blog comments, press releases and directory submissions also.

I think they are useful, but it is really a hard work to go through the lists of forums, since not every forum allows to put a link into your signature at once.

asinglelady, why you should put the signature at once? The strategy is simple: create a reputation on a specific forum, write down 20-30 posts and some threads and only after you succeed in doing this add a signature.

So yes, forums might help you if you help them also. ;)
