Thread: Banner Ads and Adsense

Here we discuss the effectiveness of banner ad campaigns and ad sense campaigns. Have these been effective for anybody?

Adsense has been sucseful for thousands of people  :P

I was looking for specific examples hey. 

AdSense is a good concept but the number of clicks that converts to sale are rather low. Its okay for websites with big budget not good for smaller sites

The main objective of any advertising is to build a brand name for your products. Adsense will just get a person to you. Then its your salesman ship how you get the customer to buy your product. So if your product is not appealing enough adsense will give you clicks but low turnover.

It is generally believed that contextual ads like AdSense are more effective than banner ads.

Adsense has performed better than banners on all my sites so far in the last year.

This seems to support the assertion that people are tuning out when they see a banner ad.
