Word Clouds are an interesting way to promote your website, the links are usually direct text link to your homepage. Like most advertisement and link building mediums some are good quality other are poor. Below is a list of word clouds I come across arranged according to Page Rank, I hope you find the links useful. Could you explain more clearly what word clouds are please

I have only become aware of worlclouds in the last week and have been looking at quite a few since. Basically its a way of buying / selling links on a high PR page. I can see how it works at the moment but I can also see word clouds being penalised by search engines in the future, in my opinion they are easy to predict by the algos and serve no purpose other than for the purpose of buying / selling links.


Note: I wanted to add this note as there is one point I failed to mention above. I have never used word clouds to buy / sell links so would welcome to opinion of someone with more experience of using them.

Yes, that is true , the rank is now 0 , I wonder what happened. I will soon check the rest of the word cloud sites , I think google modified the algo to decrease the PR for this kind of sites.

Bingo! This is what I was saying.

I have been looking into word clouds in a big way and have come up with one conclusion. Since webmasters are trying to sell every link and they seem to acomplish this when all of the links are sold to non authoritive websites with low PR the page strength of the word cloud website has got to be pretty close to zero making your link next to worthless PR or no PR.

The only way a word cloud would work in my opinion is if 50% or more of the links go to authoritive websites say linking the word microsoft to microsoft.com and apple to apple.com and leaving the other half for the viagra dealers and "best real estate companies in the world that operate in only one county". This way the word cloud would retain its page strength and page rank and your link would be worth something. Just my 2cents but a well researched 2cents.

I must agree on this one. It`s also true that some of these word cloud sites whould raise up the bid , so that not all kind of people to afford buying PR 4-5 links so easily. Yet that means loosing the attention of the rest of the webmasters searching for cheap link oportunities.
