Default Amazon is a top site for shopping research

30% of online shoppers begin to research products at Amazon. 86% of Americans who has bought something online said they’ve purchased from Amazon before. Only 13% of online shoppers prefer Google for product research. In 2009 Google led to Amazon among consumers 24% to 18%.

I have to admit - I use Amazon all the time to check prices so I'm not surprised.
I also use 'em to shop online and I've encountered scammers/liars, unfortunately (you must run into problems some time when shopping online).

They have big "UNLOCKED" smartphone on their sales page. Yet when I receive the smartphone - it was locked (this guy had a lot of positive ratings, btw)

I have bought and sold many more things on amazon than i have ebay or any other similar site. I would agree that amazon is probably the best.

Yes, as users get advanced knowledge with internet, most of them directly go to Amazon rather than searching form Google. However there are people who use Google to find the best of amazon products as well.
