Thread: Tags - useful for SE0?

Wordpress, vBulletin and most script this days have tags and I have also started seeing tags in SERPS, this show how seriously search engines are taking tags.
Have you been having good SERPS results because of tags?

First of all, let me say that there are MANY, but really many webmasters or SEOs that consider tagging a spamming method.

Personally I use tags as I have to advantages from using it :

1. create pages
2. categorize content

And about the results on SERPs ? Yes, I am getting good results for blogs tag

I have been ranking higher for lots of keywords and that is just because of tags. But using lots of tags in website for blog posts can be counted as spamming so using 2 to 3 tags is sufficient.
