Default Setting up Twitter to drive traffic to your blog

There are two main ways (well, two that I know, i'm sure there are other ways) to automatically update your twitter account with post from your blog, one is straight forward and simple, the other is long winded and complicated.
We will tackle the complicated one first and the simple one next.

    Promoting your Blog with Twitterfeed
The main advantage of placing the blog feed into twitter is that your blog articles will automatically be sent to your twitter messages, though not all content of the articles will be sent, but only the title or the top paragraph including the link to your post.

Twitterfeed is a service that will automatically twitter any post that you publish on your blog. This makes it easy that you don't have to manually enter updates into Twitter, but of course you don't just want to set up your TwitterFeed and ignore Twitter either. TwitterFeed automatically adds a link to your latest blog post in your Twitter feed using your site’s RSS feed.

Steps for the setting in twitterfeed
You need to set up a Twitter account and also your OpenID account because the information for both of these accounts is needed to set up your TwitterFeed account. If you do not have these, please visit twitter.com and http://openid.net/ to set those up following the instructions on the site. You also need Your RSS Feed url.

    Steps to set up include:

    * First visit the site at http://twitterfeed.com

    * Click Login/register on the top-right of your monitor

    * Enter your OpenID login information. Click "login". This will take you to a page with a link that reads "go to my twitterfeeds (or create a new one). Click on that link.

    * Click on the link that reads "create a new link". You will see a box that reads "create a new (blank) feed". In the (blank) is a drop-down box. Make sure that you have selected "twitter" in this box.

    * Enter the requested information in the form such as:
    • Use Twitter to drive traffic to your blogs

You simply post a "tweet" when you have updated your blog, and all you friends, followers and admirer will be instantly notified.

Tweetburner is another tool for twitter app that can track the links you shared on Twitter. Tweetburner shortens the URL with a bookmark link (same as Twshot) and allows you to also see how many clicks were made on the link you submitted to your Twitter account.

Tweetburner shorten your shared links into twurl. After that you can know what’s exactly happened with your links you posted to twitter. Tweetburner stats will show you how many clicks your shared links got from your followers

i think you can get followers, from the visitors of your site that have twitter account, or from twiiter site from the members.... you can get followers by following them first and then they will follow you if they like your updates...
