Please can anyone explain - How can Technorati help my business?

Technocrati is one of the most recognised blog search engine so if your blog is listed there it will gain some exposure and a backlink. They do not list regular website, it has to be a blog.

Technocrati should be regarded as a blog and people can get many benefits and advantages by using it

I agree with others, Technorati can really help in blog promotion. I stumbled on this article, which discusses how you can make your blog Technoratio friendly. I am copy - pasting few lines from this article.

• Ensure that HTML code for your blog is valid
  A valid markup ensures that the Technorati spiders pick up your site code efficiently. Make sure that your web pages are in correct format as per W3C Recommendation and other standards.
• Validate your feed
  Technorati indexes your feed to retrieve additional information and discern document structure. Feedvalidator is a validator for syndicated feeds which works with RSS 0.90 � 2.0 and Atom feeds. To use it, simply enter the address of your feed and click Validate. If the validator finds any problems in your feed, it will give you messages for each type of problem and highlight where the problem first occurs in your feed. If you are unsure what a message means, click the "help" link next to the message for a fuller explanation.
• Claim your blog
  According to Technorati, �Claiming your blog allows you to add your name, photo and description, list it in up to 20 categories in Blog Finder, and get cool tools for your blog.
