In what contex did you come across the word "spam indexing"? I does not make much send on its own or the way you said it.
I know that some listings are considered to be spam in search engine index so search engines do remove "spam from our indexed pages"

If you go against the rules of google and index your pages then it is spam indexing. So follow google guidelines.

Spam indexing is the practice of deliberately and dishonestly manipulating search engines to increase the chance of a website or page being placed close to the beginning of search engine results, or to influence the category to which the page is assigned in a dishonest manner.

Any search engine marketing technique that is inconsistent with a search engine's intention to display relevant results. Precise qualifications vary from engine to engine. In general, if the method intentionally results in an unusually large number of pages displayed for the marketer, or if all the results ultimately lead to the same place, or if the pages have no content of relevancy to the user's search topic, this is spam. By certain definitions, multiple sites of dubious value, established by one vendor in order to monopolize search results, are also considered spam, even if they initially appear to be different in content and appearance. Meaningless content on a page, such as nonsensically repeated keywords, is also search engine spam. Any site reported or discovered to be spamming risks being banned.

Spamdexing involves a number of methods, such as repeating unrelated phrases, to manipulate the relevancy or prominence of resources indexed by a search engine, in a manner inconsistent with the purpose of the indexing system.

Hello..
Spam indexing or search engine spamming is the practice of deliberately and dishonestly manipulating search engines to increase the chance of a website or page being placed close to the beginning of search engine results, or to influence the category to which the page is assigned in a dishonest manner. Many designers of web pages try to get a good ranking in search engines and design their pages accordingly. Spam indexing refers exclusively to practices that are dishonest and mislead search and indexing programs to give a page a ranking it does not deserve.
Thank You.
