Thread: Google analytics or AWStats?

Hi,
I though to post this in seo forum and later thought this is the correct forum.

I have google analytics as well as awstats for my site.
awstat's stats are always higher than google analytics when it come to number of visitors.

which one is more accurate?
which one don't count bots?
do google analytics counts subdomain visit even though i install theire code in home page only in the main domain (xxxs.com)?

Frankly saying I would suggest Google Analytics. It is a webmaster tool to know the statistics of your website more accurately. You can analyze much deeper of your website and the visitors from which page they come exactly. AWstats too is good but when compared i would go for the former one.

If it is to choose among those two, definitely Analytics is a better tool.

And no, Google Analytics doesn't count bots , not sure about AWstats also
