Rank #1 for a keyword phrase!
Rank #1 for a keyword phrase!
If you are considering buying a domain for a niche, and are looking to rank number one for a keyword phrase, here is what you need to do to achieve your goal!
Buying domains, search engine optimizing them, using affiliates is a great way to make a quick buck these days, so using this guide you can achieve optimum results!
1. To start off use Google Adwords Keyword Tool or Wordtracker which are both free tools to help find a keyword phrase that gets decent searches. Try to find a keyword phrase that has a good amount, but not too many (between 25-45 is best!)

2. Now you have chosen a few possible keyword phrases, go to Google and search them to see what types of sites are coming up on page one. Look to see if they are established authority sites because if they are, your not going to have much success. Do the keyword phrases show up in the title and URL of some sites? If so find another keyword phrase!
If Not Continue reading!
3. The next step is to register a domain with your keyword phrase, preferably a .com, .net or .org domain!
4. Now put a blog on your new domain and make sure the title of your blog matches your keyword phrase. This is a very important step!
5. Make the first 3 or 4 blog posts at least 500 words and sprinkle your keywords throughout them. The more posts you do the better of course!
6. Remember that you need to do off site optimizing as well! Create some backlinks for your blog and make sure that you get visitors to make the blog look active.
7. Lastly all you have to do is post regular and fresh content and you can have an active blog or landing page with a number one ranking for a keyword phrase!
If you follow this you can easily get to #1 for your key phrase within 3-4 weeks.
This can be a great method in quickly creating sites and reselling them on once they have an established keyword. You can create multiple sites like this and link to one another as if they are not all owned by the same person and sell them as a network!
Best of luck guys and if I've forgotten anything, let me know!Last edited by Elemental; 06-10-2010 at 11:29 AM.

This only depends on how much competition is on that very keyword/phrase, whether it is long or short one.
