Thread: Forum vs Blog

We normally generating back links from forum and blog these both are used to get professional based knowledge both are useful sites only. But how google consider the back links from these two and how it decide which one is best.

Please share your ideas.

I think the value give a link from a forum or a blog depends on the quality of the forum or blog, I don't think format i.e. blog or forum matters much when it come to determining the strenght of the link, just how string the forum or blog is will decide.

Its not mandatory that blog backlinks are good or forum backlinks are bad... Its just which backlinks are coming from more reputed website.

Forum with signatures and blogs with do follow links that can help your website a lot to gain backlinks and visitors.

Both are best for generating a backlinks but i prefer forums most with signature.

Both are important for generating a quality backlinks. I prefer high pr and dofollow forum with signature.

It is very difficult to differentiate between forum and blog that which one is best. Both have their own importance in presence of google. As both these site are useful to make a backlink and both are important.

Both of these have similar technologies. The ,main difference would have to be the social context of them.

Forums are equal grounded discussion based and Blogs focus on one person's views and commentary.

Your backlinks are mostly going to be affected by either of them depending on the traffic they receive, not because they are a blog or a forum.

Forums and blogs both are same in giving the backlink it only matter that the quality and high page rank of the forums and blogs, also relevant to the work that you are doing on it.

Well, It is difficult to say that which technique is better because both are useful and important. But As per my experience helpful Forum posting helps you a lot to get quality Backlinks. Never duplicate the post or content.
