Does using nofollow on your website affect your website's rankings in any way?

It may affect the PR as the nofollow prevent the PR juice to flow through the link. Otherwise I wouldnt say it has anything to do with the rankings.

it will take some effect on ranking and pr also, coz with nofollow, se robots will crawl less outbound link so we can maintain backlink weight age of site.

it may not help you on your SERP....

but i think it may help you on your backlinks :D

One of the great mysteries of modern SEO in my view. Everyone seems to have their own and very diverse opinions on this topic.

I prefer to use nofollow for login / registration pages and other pages like privacy policies. I don't mind giving a dofollow links to sites that I liked enough to give a link :)

The nofollow link attribute (rel =;nofollow;) was originally created to block search engines from following links in blog comments, because of the amount of blog comment spamming
