Thread: Too Much Social Bookmarking In SEO

Though it's practical to let your site be recognized immediately by major SEs like Google, it's also important to consider time as an factor in determining your site's performance in rankings.

There are recent cases in SEO where webmasters or their site, to be particular, are being penalized by Google because of too much use of social media to promote their site. I suggest that you should only use social bookmarking in a moderate manner to avoid such issue.

The penalties could be deleting your site through their index database or having your target keywords not rank at all in Google.

i use social bookmarking in submitting my deep links... and i think they're penalized because, they do something bad on SB that's why :D

Sometimes it pays to choose the credible social bookmarking sites where you will submit your deeplinks. Also, posting those links repetitively can cause banning both with the SB site and it's partner SEs.

some people do 50 to 100 social bookmarks in a day in a hope of getting some SERP boost, but it will not help rather gives you are at a risk of penalty from google.

I think it should be done a certain manner so as not to look like spam in the eyes of search engines.

How do you suggest its done to avoid penalty?

I think it should be done with different accounts and with different IPs, at different times to look natural.

i think we should pick the best social bookmarking that we can get for our site.... and it's not good to submit your links to many SB sites :D

i have also submitted my site inner pages in more bookmarking sites, especially i have submitted my site inner page url to all bookmarking sites.
