Need advice on funding my own site's costs etc.

Hey everybody, I am the admin of an increasingly popular website. The site is currently surviving through donations which go to paying the hosting fees. Server is self managed by myself and a friend. I have been modding a section of the site and I have decided to add a little hit counter, as it was the idea from one of my members. So out of interest I did. Not expecting my site to be that popular I was shocked with how fast it rocketed up in hits. See for yourself. This is what the hit counter says now, 22:17PM GMT 22nd July:

There have been 43,018 Views since 19th July 2009.

I added the hit counter exactly 3 days ago now as you can see and it has rocketed. From this I thought there must be some other way to fund my site. Some advertising that pays for visits maybe. Every month I get worried that I won't have enough donations to keep going.

Are there any things you can recommend for me? Any advertising companies? Google adsence is earning me roughly 12 cents per day, which is barely anything! I also heard I could sell advertising space to people who might be interested on a monthly cost, but I have no idea how I would go about that. Any help would be amazing, thank you for any advice.

If you need visitors, you can try msn adcentre, they have a better conversion. If you need money why dont you put adsense?

Using an addon domain on an existing shared hosting account allows you to split the already-low hosting costs between multiple domains. I currently have 10 domains (primary and 9 addons) on my shared hosting account.
