Making money with video sharing portals

I do not know too many about this subject, but few days ago a person contacted me and asked me to put a daily video on my blog so that he can get more views. I was kind of shocked because I did not understand what he is talking about.

It seems that video sharing portals offer money to the uploaders that get many views for their videos. So this person tried to use my blog to get higher number of views for videos he uploaded and i embbemed.

This sounds very interested, eventhough it`s something new for me, as I was not interested in uploading too many videos, till now.

How would you comment this method of making money with video sharing portals ?

Yes, copyright violations may be a problem for this kind of business. Yet, there are a lot of funny videos or artists that share their work online, so it may still be profitable.

There are many site like this. Metacafe for instance will pay you for the amount of views you had. For video marketing, you can also have your own video embedded on your site. Just don't pass by copyright acts.

Yes, when its about the copyright everyone sets aside. I think this is the biggest problems with video sharing portals. No one wants legal problems that can make you pay lots of damages to the musicians, records houses, etc.

It is the rules against copyright violations with this kinds of business.

This has been a popular way of marketing products or services since recent past. But inorder to generate money via this method, it is required that your website gets ample traffic, this makes your position stronger and you have a better chance to negotiate and grab a better deal.

@darkstar_tfd, you are lucky 'cause this happens to you. This is a rare case especially when your site showcases a mediocre stats. Being contacted by advertisers is a good sign that their is something interesting on your site/blog that attracts them and you can take advantage of this by giving them a fair, if not advantageous, quote.
