The only way to increase PageRank is to get a lot of quality related backlinks to your website.

as MayaLocke said you need lots of backlinks..

if u increase forward links , it will harm you !!

The high page rank lies in backlinks created as an important factor. driving traffic makes page rank on the top list.

linkbacks, good content, good keywords.

Getting linkbacks from higher PR sites is always a good one.

Good highly ranked links from strong high PR websites. Really the only key.

And to get good backlinks you need good content of course!

Don't get too obsessed with PageRank, though. How much traffic your site gets, and how well that traffic converts is more important.

Getting huge number of backlinks doesn't help much. But getting number of backlinks with good PR stat can.
