Doctors are warned by the MDU about Facebook flirts
The MDU (Medical Defence Union), which is a legal body for doctors, said that socializing through sites such as Facebook may be a breach of ethical responsibilities. Doctors were warned not to respond to flirts on social networking sites.
This warning came after a number of cases in which patients had proposition doctors after finding their details on the internet.
The Medical Defence Union also said that doctors should refrain from making comments that could identify their patients.
The new guidance from the General Medical Council explicitly mentioned "internet chat forums" in its rules on confidentiality.

I guess there is no such thing as confidentiality - its a matter of how much your are willing to pay for the information...confidentiality.
