Almost 16 billion dollars were spent from 1st of November on gifts and other season shopping, marking an increase of 3% from the same period last year, according to a study made by comScore Inc. They also noticed the fact that 28% of U.S. shoppers said that social media has influenced their acquisitions this year.

  • Following the offers from companies Facebook page (7%)
  • Following Facebook posts of friends, in which they refer to products (6%)
  • Following the offers companies make on Twitter (5%)
  • Following the recommendations of Twitter friends (3%)
