There is speculation at the moment that this may be a DNS redirect, which means that the Twitter.com domain has been redirected to the defacement page. This doesn’t explain why some sub-domains are down, while others are currently still alive (such as search)
Anyway, twitter is not available at the moment, you can login but you cannot do nothing. Twitter is dead, long live to twitter.

That is a coup Ovi, well done. I am suprised any hacker could hack twitter. I noticed that it was not working earlier but I did not know that was the reason. Thanks for sharing the info

Twitter has a long history of security problems. Their web servers were misconfigured to reveal detailed internal network information some time ago.
